This time, no quest markers(hopefully it is possible, unlike in Skyrim where they have you zero info) and as a mage. I may also get the GOTY just so I can get all the add ons. It is 11 dollars on Amazon! also I took this picture with my phone :D
HFV has no HFV. But somehow has 2 motorcycles

You're playing Oblivion without map markers? Jeezus, good luck. There's going to be lots of times where you need to go to a cave without any info on how to get there, and it may not be on your map yet.

player.additem f # where "#" is any number you want. INFINITE SEPTIMS. Game = ruin

I don't know something about Skyrim just didn't sit right with me. Morrowind is the best but dat combat is painful. Oblivion is a nice medium.

Oblivion was super bullshit.
All the enemies scaled to your level. Skyrim rid TES of a lot of the infuriating trash in Oblivion.
There's some fantastic mods out there that completely overhaul Oblivion, but I just can't go back to listening to the same 4 voice actors and trudging through the extra jank that the modders couldn't scrub out.

go off and play Divinity or something. There are a lot of great RPGs out now, it's almost a new golden age.
Of course you would need a PC to play these games. PC gaming is at it's height these days like it's the 90s. Tons of great RPGs and strategy games like you used to see. It's like 1996 all over again.

A lot of people seem to agree with you. And I fracking HATE scaling enemies(Too Human is the worst at this, literally the second you level up). You feel no sense of progress. I just really like Oblivion though. It was the first RPG I played and it was amazing in 7th grade, which might explain why I like it so much.
I didn't really like playing Skyrim though, it felt toned down... I am not sure how though.

Welli don't have a PC. But how much would you need to spend to get a decent laptop to play some nice games? I don't want to spend 500 dollars or more on a laptop(I am actually looking for one).

Go to xotic pc, bought a laptop from there a while ago and it's still good. You pretty much would need like $700 minimum, $1000 preferred.
You could build a desktop computer. Really if you like RPGs you are missing out a lot if you don't have a PC. Especially with the ridiculousness of Torment, Pillars of Eternity, Wasteland 2, Paradox's viking RPG, etc all coming soon. There is a good like 10 games coming soon many by classic game developers and have huge hype for being best all time despite not even being out yet. It's really a RPG renaissance and they are all mostly PC exclusives.
Console exclusive RPGs have been lacking lately. Just getting a few of the games from PC and the JRPGs aren't really good anymore that i've played despite being a huge fan of them back in the PS/SNES times.
I've had the same desktop PC for like 5 years just upgrading video cards recently and still run all games on max settings. Requirements don't really go up anymore so anything you buy lasts a long time. My laptop is 4 years old and i'm still able to play intensive games like Battlefield 4 and any recent RPG on it.
There is no way I could survive on just console as a RPG fan.
